My uncle is in heaven now but he left behind many precious memories. He had a lot to do with my love of music. I remember as a child listening and watching my dad and uncles playing and singing music--it was a big part of our lives and made for many happy memories. Those memories shall endure forever-everytime I sing a song or pickup a guitar I'll think of him. I hope for the family that we let go of any negatives and just remember the good times and love shared.

Dear Hazekwood Family; I know the loss is great but if it is possible, Jessie is playing his guitar or learning the harp by now. He was ready to meet Jesus and knew he was saved. I love him and the whole family. God knows our need and will supply. May the strength of the Holy Spirit comfort all of you with his presence. Pastor Vergel Maness

“I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge, myth is more potent than history, dreams are more powerful than facts, hope always triumphs over experience, laughter is the cure for grief, love is stronger than death”- (Robert Fulghum) I just know that he, Papa, Auntie Violet, and Nannie (a.k.a. Tiny) are up there today having a wonderful reunion. Someone is singing, somebody is on guitar, someone is at the piano, and another is strumming a banjo. Oh, and they are all telling jokes and cutting up. His sweet soul and infectious laugh will be missed so very much but I know he will always live in our hearts.

So sorry to hear about "pop" as my mother and I called him. Sorry I won't be able to attend the service since I no longer drive at night. I wish you all God's blessings and I know that he is in God's arms right now and smiling down at all of you.
