Kenneth LeGrand "Bree" Jones

JONES, Kenneth LeGrand "Bree", 85, of Arvonia, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2009. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Scott Jones. He was born May 3, 1924 in New Canton, Va. He is survived by his son, Jack Jones of Midlothian; daughter, Elizabeth Jones of Charlottesville; sister, Ethelyn Maxwell of Louisville, Ky.; brother, Laurie Jones of Houston, Texas. He is also survived by four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mr. Jones was a longtime vice president and branch manager for Bank of America at its Dillwyn, Virginia, location. He worked for 44 years in the Dillwyn office serving the people of his community whom he loved. Mr. Jones was a lifelong member and elder at Trinity Presbyterian Church in New Canton, as well as a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 2, at 2 p.m. in Trinity Presbyterian Church of New Canton, with interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, August 1, at the Dunkum Funeral Home in Dillwyn. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the cemetery fund of Trinity Presbyterian Church.
