TYLER, Mae V. Lucas, 82, of Charles City, died Wednesday, November 25, 2009. She was the widow of Lewis Beverly Tyler. She is survived by her stepson, Beverly J. R. Tyler; two grandchildren, Deneal T. Harris (Byron) and Brandon Todd Tyler; great-grandchildren, son-in-law; four sisters-in-law, Lula T. Fleming, Patricia T. Humphrey, Catherine S. Tyler, one devoted, Martha G. T. White; like children, Gilbert Smith (Raye) and family, Alice V. Johnson, Margaret Lane, and Susie B. Porter; nieces, nephews, cousins, devoted, Janet R. and Muriel O. Miles, Connie A. Wilson (Andre) and Jessie M. Parker; other relatives and close friends. Mae was a longtime member of Gravel Hill Baptist Church, Varina District. Remains rest a J. Leroy Charity Funeral Home, Charles City. Funeral services 2 p.m. Sunday, at New Vine Baptist Church, Charles City. Interment church cemetery.
