Bubba lived near Mike and his family from childhood through high school. Mike was a lifelong friend who cared deeply for his friends and family. He took the time to keep in touch and could always keep us entertained. We'll remember him for his unique characteristics, his sense of humor and his love of family, wrestling, and football. Whenever we watch Redskins football, his memory will be with us.

I went to school with Mike, I wanted his family to know he left a lasting impression. Mike was so very nice, when he saw you he always made you feel good. He had a way of making people feel special. He took the time to talk and listen. What a very sweet and gentle man. I had lost contact over the years, for this I'm truly sorry. Mike touched my heart because of his kindness. My husband and I will alway remember him fondly.

Myrtle, Bobby was devastated when I gave him the news earlier today. He quickly reminded me of that time more than 50 years ago when you wanted to adopt him, saying "that still leaves three for Madge and Cotchie". I worked with Mike many years on the railroad and, rest assured, he will be remembered as the character that he was, and not soon forgotten. I am so sorry that he left us so soon.

Mike you will be dearly missed. We lived next door to Mike on Studley Rd. I had a chance to know the 3 young children. Your dad loved you guys a lot. He was one of nicest people I knew, he would give the shirt off his back to help someone out. . We already miss hearing your radio in your truck at night listening to the ballgames and you outside riding your lawn mower around. Thank you for the CD's you burned for me in the last couple of weeks, I will cherish them. RIP Mike! Jessie, Daniel, Dean and Devan.
