Rudolph Louis Hotz

HOTZ, Rudolph Louis, 93, a resident of Little Sisters of the Poor in Richmond, Va., and former resident of Petersburg, passed away Monday, April 26, 2010. Born in Chesterfield County, he was the son of the late Charles Edward and Anne Marie Blaha Hotz. Mr. Hotz was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Christine Reiter Hotz. He is survived by his daughters, Patricia H. Kolakoski of Springfield, Va., and Mary Frances H. Redding of Alexandria, Va.; sons, William Louis Hotz of Marietta, Ga., and Rudolph David Hotz of LaGrange, Ky.; 13 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Rosemary Scarborough of Colonial Heights and Ann Elizabeth Michalek of Chester; brothers, Joseph J. Hotz and Frank D. Hotz, both of Chester. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., with a Christian Wake service beginning at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 29, at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Monsignor Michael Schmied, celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Petersburg. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, P.O.
