I read Simone Conroy's obit almost ten years after her passing and felt saddened at her passing. Mike and I were very close during the early sixties and often I would come to his home to meet with him before going out together for an evening of fun. While waiting for him to get ready, I would sit with Simone and the two adorable girls, Celeste and Helene, the four of us chatting about this or that little thing. Soon, it became a ritual and I became a novelty with the ladies of the Conroy home due to the fact that I was never bored at their latest news and loved to listen to the three of them chatter about whatever was on their minds, particularly the young Helene. I think she had a youthful crush on me, the way young girls often do with their big brother's friends. As for the mother, Simone, she had obviously stamped her daughters with the image of herself; warm, affable personalities, feminine to the core. Mike and I drifted apart over the years, but I have never forgotten the moments spent waiting for Mike, basking in the pleasant sunshine of Simone and her two young daughters.

So sorry to hear of your Mother's passing. I remember all of you from Greenfield. She was a lovely lady. I so enjoyed trips with her to see you, Dennis, while recovering at the Norfolk Naval Hospital. Hope all of you are doing well, please accept my condolences. May God be with each and everyone.

So sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. I have many fond memories of the summers I spent in Richmond at the Conroy household. Those truly were the good old days!

Simone and Tom were longtime friends of my parents. I spent many hours in their presence as a child and always remembered Simone's smile and constant state of pleasantness. She was one classy lady and I know you kids will miss her, along with her vast array of friends, both new and old. My condolences to you all, and may God's peace be with you. With love,
