JOHNSON, Walter, of Richmond, departed this life December 2, 2009. He is survived by nine sons, Walter Johnson Jr. (Lois T.), Larry Johnson, Waddell Johnson (Michelle), Melvin Johnson (Theresa), Tony Johnson (Jacqueline), Ronald Johnson (Beverly), Richard Bailey, William Jefferson and Marvin Bailey (Linda); four daughters, Barbara White, Linda Hinnant (Rufus), Monica Johnson and Brenda Johnson; 26 grandchildren, among them devoted LaDean White; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Bess Pollard; host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull Street, where funeral service will be held Monday, December 7, at 1 p.m. Brother Marvin Bailey officiating. Interment Maury Cemetery.
