Raymond Styer Obituary

Raymond G. Styer, age 65, of Main St., Trappe, died Friday, May 6, 2011, in Collegeville. Mr. Styer was born on May 26, 1945, in England, and was the son of the late Charles and Catherine (Joy) Styer. He was a graduate of Collegeville - Trappe High School. Mr. Styer was a truck driver for Harris Graham Contractors, Inc., Lower Providence Twp., and a self employed landscaper. Mr. Styer was a firefighter with the Collegeville Fire Co. since he was 18. He also was a former state fire instructor. In addition to his parents, Mr. Styer was preceded in death by his sister Patricia (Styer) Slater. He is survived by four cousins, Judith (Styer) Emlet, Helen (Styer) Hannigan, Marion (Walsh) Davenport, and Mike Walsh. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 21st, at Trinity Reformed Church, United Church Of Christ, 532 Main St., Collegeville, with the Rev. Dr. Martha B. Kriebel, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Wentz's United Church Of Christ Cemetery, Worcester Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to the Collegeville Fire Co., 29 E. 5th Ave., Collegeville, PA 19426. Arrangements are by the Holcombe Funeral Home, Inc., Trappe.

Ray family, I remember Ray coming to the Donut Shop in the Collegeville shopping center.Also I remember when Ray help me to get an Oaks tree for my husband birthday.He will be missed.
