I worked with Alma for 12 years at the WCB in Menands. We shared so many good times. Clam steams, monthly outings. I remember her being such a good dancer. Alma always had a smile and was such an optimist. She made my day! Love you Alma.... Vonne Purcell

At every age that I knew her (and that's about 50 years), Alma always had what Dr. Sutherland used to call "the devil in her eye." She also always had something to share, even when it meant she would go without herself. When I last saw her she asked "Do I still smell good?" because she used to slide into the church pew behind me on Sunday mornings with her fur coat smelling like a freshly smoked Marlboro and my mouth would water! She lived with gusto and she loved hard--even when loving wasn't easy. A rare bird and a great loss to all who knew her.

The Schultz family have been a main stay on Pleasant Street for many years. Speaking on behalf of the Smith family, I would like to send my condolences to your family. Alma was a great neighbor and friend to my mother, Ether Smith. She will be missed.
I will never forget the years of growing up on Pleasant Street with all of us playing together and enjoying ourselves. One of them was taking dance lessons in your home on Saturday mornings. It was a blast! Those are pleasant memories I shall share for a lifetime.
Thank you and May God Bless your family during this time of your grief.
Susan Smith
