Dorothy KIEFER Obituary

KIEFER Dorothy A. Dorothy A. Kiefer, age 81, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2012, at her residence. She was born in Helena, Ohio on March 23, 1931, the daughter of Stanley and Angela (Zabiciel) Maciejewski. Dorothy was a 1949 graduate of Libbey High School and had worked as a secretary for 37 years at Chrysler Jeep, retiring in 1988. She was a longtime member of St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Parish. Dorothy loved festivals and Polish dancing. Her memberships included The International Music Assoc., Toledo Area Polka Society and the former Eagles Aerie #197. Dorothy cherished the time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She thoroughly enjoyed watching them participate in their school activities and sports. Dorothy was also passionate about polka dancing and summer festivals. She always looked forward to attending dances with her sister and friends. Dorothy is survived by her son, David (JoAnn) Kiefer; daughter, Debra (Roland) Gallardo; grandchildren, Jeff (Bonnie) Harrell, Matthew (Amanda) Kiefer, Jennifer Kiefer (Mathew Southwell) and Taylor Gallardo; great-grandchildren, Samantha Kiefer and Andrew Kiefer; brother, Chester Maciejewski; sister, Eleanor Villarreal, and numerous nieces and nephews.
