Our prayers and condolences go out to the Gant family. We'll always remember Brother Gant as a prayer warrior and a precious Saint of God. He always had a beautiful smile and a kind word of encouragement. He loved the Lord and his family with all his heart and he was faithful in God's house. Brother Gant has left many precious memories for his family and friends and we believe that he will be waiting to greet us in Heaven with that big smile and hearty laugh. I ushered with Deacon Gant at St. James COGIC. Everything he did with the ushers was done with an order of excellence. Bishop James did not want people walking all over the place during service, so Deac. Gant put that into action every Sunday. He was strict and stern. He would tell me "that you can't have people walking all around, up and down. You either inside the sanctuary or out in the hallway". People would be fussing and upset that they had to wait outside until he opened the doors. But he would greet them with a smile and a Welcome to St. James. The next Sunday they would be on time in their seat ready for worship.
Sis. Gant and family may God give you peace and comfort in this season of sorrow.

My most hearfelt condolences goes out to Sis. Gant and the entire Gant family. I am extremely sorry to hear about Deacon Gant's passing. He was a face that I always looked for at Grace Temple. Deacon Gant will definitely be missed!! God called home one of the great ones! RIP Deacon Gant

I want to offer my condolences to your family due to the loss of Deacon Gant. I was shocked to learn of his passing but also know that he is in a better place and was welcomed with open arms. In life there are a few people that truly make a difference here and Deacon Gant was one of them!! What a wonderful man he was and the impression that he made on me will last to the end of my days. He will be missed and I cannot wait to see him again!!
