Russell MELLER Obituary

MELLER Russell E. Russell E. Meller, age 84, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away Thursday morning, June 24, 2010, at the Swan Pointe Care Center in Maumee. He was born on July 25, 1925, in Fulton County, to Wave and Wilma (Hobbinger) Meller. He served in the United States Army during World War II in the Philippines. In 1957 he founded Meller Builders. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking in his free time. Russell is survived by his sons, Gary (Gretchen) Meller, Jerry (Delores) Meller, and Jack (Pam) Meller; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grand-children; and siblings, Myrl (Shirley) Meller, Dave (Jean) Meller, Lucille (Paul) Keener, Anna Mae Babb and Nancy Livingston. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Evelyn; brothers, Edward and Lowell and first wife, Bernetta Krauss. Friends and family may visit Saturday, June 26th, from 10 to 12 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 12:00 Noon Interment will follow in Swanton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Miracle Camp in Lawton, Michigan. To the Meller family, It was an honor to be one of the aids to take care of Russell. He took care of all of us when duty called and Russell and the rest of the greatest generation served our country when we needed them most. God Bless.
