James HARTBARGER Obituary

HARTBARGER James "Ronnie" James R. Hartbarger, 76, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away Friday, March 18, 2011, at the Toledo Hospital. He was born on July 12, 1934, in Chattanooga, TN, to Willie and Tinie Hartbarger. Jim was a 1954 graduate of Clay High School where he was an all star football player earning a scholarship for his football achievements. He started working for the railroads, New York Central/Penn Central, Northfolk/Western until he was injured in 1972. Jim loved garage sales but his most prized possession in life was his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Alice McGee; sons, Mark James Hartbarger and Scott Jay Hartbarger. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Joy Hartbarger; sons, Russ Allen (Bobbie) Hartbarger and Keith Jason (Lonna) Hartbarger; daughter, Heather Joy (John) Ford; grandchildren, Nathan, Kayla and Luke Hartbarger, Jill (Fiancée, Patrick Kilzer) Bridwell, Jenna Hartbarger, Lindsey Hartbarger, Brooke and Jonathon Ford, Christina, Chelsie, Brendon and Trevor Hartbarger and great grandchildren: Luc, Noah and Deja Bridwell, Cheyenne Kilzer, Brenden and Kensey Hartbarger. Jim is also survived by his sister, Shirley (John) Hunt; brothers, William (Don), Patrick (Barb), Derrel (Sue), Kenneth (Pat) and Phillip (Linda) Hartbarger; daughter-in-law, Kathy (Hartbarger) Armes and brother-in-law, Wayne (Stub) McGee. Family and friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Road in Oregon on Monday, March 21, 2011, from 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park with a luncheon served at New Harvest Church in Oregon. Memorial contributions may be made to New Harvest Church. Proverbs 3: 5,6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.
