Earl MARTIN Obituary

MARTIN Earl F. Earl F. Martin, age 88, of Gibsonburg, Ohio passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 31, 2012, at his home. He was born on March 7, 1924. He married Lenore (McGillvary) Martin on February 19, 1948 in Lima, Ohio. Surviving are his loving wife of 64 years, Lenore of Gibsonburg; sons David Martin of Archbold, Bill (Kathy) Martin of Gibsonburg, Steve (Anita) Martin of Lambertville, Michigan; daughter, Sue (Glenn) Mohre of Mt. Gilead, OH; numerous grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Earl George Martin and Irene Garn. Earl was a proud Veteran of WWII serving in the Army. He worked at Toledo Times and then went on to work at The Toledo Blade as the Suburban Circulation Manager for over 40 years. Earl was a member of Wayne Church of Christ. He was a patient and loving husband and father. We are comforted in knowing he is home with our Lord and Savior. Friends will be received Friday, June 1, 2012, from 6-8 p.m. at Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, Ohio where a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2012, with Pastor John Amstutz officiating. Burial will be at West Union Cemetery in Gibsonburg, Ohio with a bereavement luncheon immediately following at Wayne Church of Christ. Memorial donations may be made to the Wayne Church of Christ.
