Alice Mae Crenshaw Garris ABINGDON, Va. Alice Mae Crenshaw Garris, 90, went to be with the Lord Thursday, April 22, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, John Crenshaw; second husband, Fred Garris; and several brothers and sisters. She was the last surviving child of eight. She had lived in Richmond, Va., before coming to Abingdon to be cared for by relatives, Glenn and Carol Stroud. She was a Christian. She raised two children, Margie Jo Younik and a son who also preceded her in death. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 24, 2010, at Farris Funeral Service. Interment will follow in Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood, Va. Those wishing to express sympathy online may do so by visiting www.farrisfuneralservice.com and signing the online guestbook.
