Billy Ray Comer BLOUNTVILLE, Tenn. Billy Ray Comer, 61, passed away Friday, Dec. 18, 2009, at Wellmont Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was born in Bristol Tennessee, he was a lifelong resident of the area, and was a maintainence supervisor for Touchstone Wireless. Bill was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Army, and also an avid horseman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh Amos Mallett and Virginia Comer Mallett. Also preceding was a daughter, Becky Comer; and two sisters, Betty Comer and Bertha Manis. Survivors include sisters, Florence Chastain and husband Mitch, of Bristol Tennessee, and Pauline Vermillion, of Rogersville, Tenn.; brothers, Ray Mallett and wife Betty, of Johnson City, Tenn., and James Mallett and wife Liz, of Surgoinsville, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews. The family of Billy Ray Comer will recieve friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, at Tri-Cities Funeral Home. Military graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Dec. 22, 2009, at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens, with services being conducted by American Legion Hammond Post 3, Gate City Post 265, and the Tennessee Army National Guard.
