Edith Brickey

Edith Brickey CORBURN, Va. Edith Adams Brickey, 88, home going Friday, April 30, 2010, at her residence in Coeburn. She was a former employee of Paramount Cleaners and Dr. Clemet. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Adams and Anne Adams. She was the wife of the late William Brickey; also preceeded in death by one sister, Ona Pearman; four brothers, Author Adams, Oscar Adams, Floyd Adams, and Ray Adams. She is survived by two sons, Curtis C. Brickey, and wife, Linda G. Brickey, Coeburn, and Joseph Allen Brickey, and wife, Leona "Pat" Brickey Norton, Va.; two brothers, Jessie and Allen Adams and wife, Marie; five grandchildren, Mia Smith, Lil Joe Brickey, Rick Brickey, Israel Brickey and Candace Freeman; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two step great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Special thanks to Russell Co. Hospice Care and Lifecare. Funeral services for Edith Brickey will be held on Monday May 3, 2010, 2 p.m. at Estes Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. R. L. Crawford officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Acres Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Sunday after 6 p.m. at Estes Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be grandsons and friends.
