My Dear Friends,
I am so sorry for the loss of your wonderful Dad. He was the sweetest man. I will never forget one day at the Post Office in Meadowview I was taking the flag down and he came up on the sidewalk and leaned over and gave me a kiss on the cheek. Then he apologized. I asked "WHY?" He said, "What are people going to think of an old black man kissing a young white girl?" I told him to let them talk!!! You are a wonderful friend and I really appreciated him for giving me the kiss. I have loved your Mom and Dad for years. I am sorry to see of his passing...the world just lost a fantastic person!! My love goes out to all of you!!
Love,
Betsy (Price) Henderson
