Robert Leighton Musick BRISTOL, Va. Robert Leighton Musick, age 83, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 18, 2010, at Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was born Aug. 30, 1926, to the late Isaac William "I.W." Musick and Nanny Henry Musick. He had lived in the Bristol area all of his life and was a retired brick mason. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Musick was a member of North Bristol Baptist Church. He had served as a Baptist church deacon for over 40 years. Survivors: wife, Beulah Musick; children, Gary Leighton Musick, Robert Keven Musick and wife Melissa; grandchildren, Robby, Josh, Rebekah, Paul, Sarah; sisters, Mary Millsap, Josie Davis, Clara Thayer; brothers, Isaac Musick, J.D. Musick; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21, 2010, from the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael McCloud, Rev. Eric Godfrey, and Rev. Alan Moor officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:30-7:45 prior to the service. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery on Thursday, July 22, 2010, at 11 a.m. Pallbearers will be Harold Millard, Eddie Harley, Johnny Simerly, Claude Carr, George Brooks, Calvin Bentley. Honorary pallbearers will be The Fishers of Men Sunday School Class of North Bristol Baptist Church, Wilbur Hill, Pierce Sims, and Charles James.
