Robert "Bobby" Kent Troxell CHILHOWIE, Va. Robert "Bobby" Kent Troxell, age 65, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010, at his home. He was born in Washington County, Va., to the late Robert Lee Troxell and Mattie Greer Troxell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a two brothers, Bradley Pennington and Gene Greer; and two sisters, Geraldine Berry and Mildred Cable. Mr. Troxell was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of East End Baptist Church. He was a skilled sewing machine mechanic, had been a school bus driver for Smyth County Schools and had been employed with W & L Construction. He is survived by: two daughters, Tera Leigh Troxell of the home, Holly Troxell Berry and husband Johnny Oliver Berry, Chilhowie; one sister, Linda Troxell Guyer, Marion, Va.; a brother-in-law, Ralph Berry; a special nephew, Bryan Odham; special friends, Curt Wymer, Art Edmiston, Eddie McConnell, Bobby Dinsmore, Heavy Widener, many, many more. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, from the Bradley's Funeral Chapel in Chilhowie with Rev. Jerry Eggers officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral chapel. A graveside service for family and friends will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Grosses Creek Cemetery in Chilhowie with full military honors rendered by the Francis Marion VFW Post 4667. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.bradleysfh.com Bradley's Funeral Chapel of Chilhowie is serving the family.
