Sherrell Hansen Obituary

Sherrell Dawn Evans Hansen died on May 23, 2010 in Orem, Utah. She was born March 12, 1938 in Pocatello, Idaho to Alexander and Ione Evans. She was raised on their dairy farm in Arimo, Idaho and often commented on how much she enjoyed the farm. Sherrell graduated from Idaho State University in 1960 and pursued a career in medical technology. She married Leo R. Hansen in the LDS Temple in Salt Lake City on October 28, 1960 and they had two children. They were married nearly 50 years when she died. From November 2004 - April 2006 she and her husband served a Mission for the LDS Church. Her parents preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Leo; her children, L. Scott Hansen and Beth Ann Hansen; her daughter-in-law, Linda Hansen; her grandchildren, Jordan Hansen and Morgan Hansen; her sisters, Deena (Dallas) Dendy, Marilyn (DuWayne) Henderson and Carol (George) McOmber. She loved hard work and was extremely diligent in everything she did. She had a generous spirit and gave freely of her means to those around her. She enjoyed genealogy, reading, learning, and chocolate. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Chapel, 2740 West 620 North, Provo, Utah. Viewing to begin at 10:00 a.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Matt Dobson, Berg Mortuary, Provo, Utah.

I am sad to hear about Sherrell's death. We worked together at the Tucson, AZ Family History Center. She was a wonderful person! May your memories of her comfort you during a hard time.
