Steven Heindl Obituary
Steven J. Heindl, 59, San Jose, California, formerly of Marathon City, passed away Monday, July 30, 2012 as a result of a motorcycle accident.
Steven's greatest passion was always automotive repair. In his early years, he was co-owner of B-Mar Automotive in Marathon. He had a real sense of adventure and traveled throughout the U.S. until eventually settling in California, making San Jose his home. Steven will be remembered mostly for his Harleys, cruising the many areas of CA that he loved so much. He also was an avid Oakland Raiders and Nascar fan. Having gone to many races, he was always a huge follower of Dale Earnhardt. His other interests included photography, computers, and most recently the electric guitar.
In the 35 years Steven was in CA, he continued his work in auto-body repair. The last 11 years he was employed as general manager at South Valley Inc. He worked there with great pride, loyalty, and integrity. He will be sadly missed by everyone there as they became Steven's second family.
Survivors include his mother, Dolores Heindl, Marathon, his siblings, Lynne Heindl, Marathon, Larry (Bernie) Heindl, Marathon, JoAnn (Mark) Phillips, Mosinee and one sister-in-law Tammy Heindl, Marathon and his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Joseph Heindl and two brothers, Gary and Jim.
A mass to celebrate Steven's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday August 26, 2012 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. The Rev. Joseph Diermeier will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at the church.
Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Steven's name.

I knew Steve (beaver) many years ago when he worked next to our shop in Edgar, we got to be friend and found our birthdays were both on the same day. He was a great guy to know , always thinking and building things, a very good body and paint guy!, I'm sure he'll be missed.
