Peter C. Rollins' death is a loss to many, including me. Among other professional contributions, Peter was a true colleague and champion for the military. Having myself served for 9 years active and reserves, I valued his understanding of our military role in Vietnam. We remember his sense of humor and creativity. Goodbye our Oklahoma State University friend and colleague. Lawrence M. Hynson III, School of International Studies and Captain US Army Field Artillery, Top Secret Intel Officer.

Peter was truly a renaissance gentleman who exhibited every trait that is good about mankind. Scholar, veteran, friend he leaves a world of colleagues and friends who will deeply miss "Pedro." I am one of them.

I am so sorry to hear of Peter's passing. I first met and knew Peter at Oklahoma State University, both as a student and a colleague. Not only did he become a mentor of mine as I worked toward a Master's degree in English, but we worked together on many projects. To this day, I use and think about many of the things that Peter taught me as I research, write and interact with the people in my life. My wife and I were newly married when we moved to Oklahoma. No matter the situation, Peter was always welcoming and gracious to us. Both Dawn and I will miss him. After we moved from Oklahoma, Peter and I worked on two other television documentaries and travelled to produce them. No matter the situation, Peter always engaged those around him with interest and intelligence. Today, I feel like I have lost a mentor and a friend. I will always think about Peter because of what he taught me. I will miss him as he was my friend. --Bill Crane
