Harry McGuire Jr.

Harry Leonard McGuire, Jr. of Plymouth, died on May 31, 2015. He is the beloved husband of 75 years to Julia C. (Dawson) McGuire. He is the loving father of Bobby of NH, Linda McGuire and her husband Robert Rufener of RI, Marilyn McClearn and her husband William of Norwell, Kevin and his wife Joan of NH, Diane Crowley and her husband John of NJ, Karen Whitman and her husband Charles of Pocassett, Richard and his wife Jean of Plymouth, Alayne McGuire of Monument Beach, Lenny of Plymouth, Theresa McGuire of Plymouth and Edward and his wife Paula of Plymouth and the late Judy and David McGuire. Cherished grandfather of 28 and great grandfather of 25 and great great grandfather of 3. He was also the grandfather of the late Corey. Born in Boston, August 4, 1915 a son of the late Harry L and Mary (Doyle) McGuire. Educated in Boston and a graduate of Mission Hill High School. Harry worked for the City of Boston as Superintendent of the Park Dept. A member of the Knights of Columbus in Manomet and the Father Bucachan Assembly 4th degree K of C., a member of the John Alden Sportsman Club in Manomet. Harry was also a certified Arborist. Funeral from the Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Rd. Manomet on Saturday at 9:00 am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Bonaventure Church, Manomet at 10:00 am. Visiting hours on Friday from 3 till 7 pm.
