Betty Dillow

Dillow Betty Sue "Maw Maw" Hayden Dillow, 65, died on Oct. 29, 2010, in Johnston Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ada Hayden; a daughter, Margaret Ann Anderson; brother, William Eugene "Bill" Hayden; and sister, Darlene Fowler. Survivors include husband, Ralph E. Dillow; sons, Claude Eugene Dillow Jr. of Amelia, Ralph W. Dillow of Richmond, and Michael D. Dillow of Galax; daughters, Brenda Joy Dillow of Richmond and Amy S. Taylor of Saltville; sisters, Alice Ratcliffe of Saltville and Katherine Mabe of South Carolina; brother, James E. Hayden of Saltville; brother-in-law, J.R. Fowler of North Carolina; several nieces and nephews; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov.1, in Lighthouse Baptist Church with the Rev. Benny Frye and the Rev. R.L. Frye officiating. Burial followed in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
