I met Stacy at NAU...what a character...she was best friends with Sheila Sullivan at the time. We lived in the 21 dorm...campus was so small at the time. I have such good memories of our time, camping at Oak Creek Canyon. Stacy, I'm thinking of you today, on what would have been your 72nd birthday. Rest In Peace sweet girl.

Dear Keifer Grace & Family: My earliest memories of Stacy were that she was kind & extremely bright. I went from first to 8th grade (@ Somerton Grammar)aspiring to be just like her, but the only other one that could rival her intellect was Charles Moody! The poem by Alairie Tennille gave me comfort when I lost my Sister Carrlene "No time on earth is enough to share with those we love or to prepare our hearts for that last goodbye." May the GOD of all comfort, comfort all of you. I hope to see Stacy again in Heaven. She was a darling girl. Rosie Hopper-Smith

Reed and Family,
I'm so sorry for your loss. Stacy was a fun special person that I met at Cottey College. I'm sure she was a great teacher and touched many hearts in her life.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Get strength from the hugs you get, it will help you get through the tough times.
I was your neighbor in Sedona around 73-76.

Stacy's Family - - I attended Cottey College with Stacy. During Spring Break her 2nd year, she and Sheila Sullivan visited me in ND - - my mother had a PEO tea in their honor. I am so saddened to hear about Stacy passing away. I will never forget her wonderful smile, the sparkle in her eyes and also how she would cry during some of our serenading at Cottey. I can only imagine what a tremendous teacher, mother, wife she has been. My heart is heavy for all of you. With my deepest sympathy, Marcia Foss, Class of 1970, Cottey College

Mr. & Mrs. Shipp, I was deeply saddened to hear of Stacy's passing. My mom, Grace Gray, called to let me know. Even though we have not kept in touch or spoken since leaving Somerton, I only have the fondest of memories. Stacy and I were in the Somerton paper when the library opened and Mrs. Shipp was the librarian. I still have that picture. And Stacy passed the torch to me in Job's Daughters. I have not thought of all that in years. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you and Stacy's family. Stacy was a bright spot in all our lives. Please take comfort in knowing how many lives she touched in such a special way.

Stacy was always a leader both in her youth and in her adulthood. With her marvelous smile and gentle touch she could charm the hardest heart. Our Kofa '67 class embraces her forever...we will always miss and cherish her.
The Shipps were the greatest parents and we all knew it. We send our love to them, Reed and her children.
Love,

I remember the good times as kids at Grandma and Grandpa Shipp's. The great Shipp Christmas Partys at your Mom and Dad's as we were growing up. You will be missed but remembered with great affection.

To the Shipp family,
I'll never forget Stacy. She was my first girlfriend. 2nd grade. We were always together during the elementry years. Either riding horses or playing sports. Stacy was one of the guys. If it had'nt been for Stacy & Andy (Smith) I don't think I would of graduated. We were all the best of friends and even though we didn't stay in contact through out the years my feelings for Stcay were always the same.
I'm sure god will have a special place for Stacy.

Keifer, Grace & Pat,
Stacy was an Angel loaned to us for awhile.
Everyone who ever knew her will miss her.
We were neighbors in Somerton and used to climb the trees in your back yard..until we got caught. I went from kindergarten thru high school with her and had some good fun. She was always a shining light.
May God grant you strength, courage and serenity during this oh so difficult time.

When I became part of Stacy and Reed's family 20 years ago it was like I had always been there. Moving to Cottonwood was daunting but having her unwaivering support and love made those three years the best that they could possibly be. She will always hold a very special place in my heart and be missed and loved every single day.

I was a classmate and friend of Stacy's during my eight years at Somerton school. My mother was Jane Raulaton, my grand mother Nora Wynn. As kids we all had fun together in our little town. I have found memories of Stacy even after fourty five years I feel I have lost a dear friend. mike wilson
