Norman Bolin Obituary

Norman C. Bolin NORFOLK - Norman C. Bolin, 89, passed away Feb. 23, 2009, in The Gardens of Warwick Forest. A native of Sweetwater, Texas, he was the son of the late Robert P. and Maude M. Bolin and the widower of Audrey N. Bolin. He retired from the United States Navy as a lieutenant commander. He was a veteran of World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He is survived by a daughter, Lesa Weaver and husband Mark of Newport News; three grandsons, Matthew Weaver and wife Rachel of Newport News, Andrew Weaver and wife Mary Jo of Yorktown and Adam Weaver of Newport News; three great-grandsons, Jordan, Brandon and Justin; one great-granddaughter, Alexa; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. in Hollomon- Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, with the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood officiating. The burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to American Kidney Foundation. I was so sad to hear about the passing of Mr. Bolin. My mom treats at the same center where he was going. He was a sweet man and will be missed by many. Your family is our thoughts and prayers.
