Philip Laster Obituary

Philip D. Laster VIRGINIA BEACH - Philip Daniel Laster passed away Nov. 8, 2009. Born March 25, 1951 in Philadelphia, he was a dedicated father and loving husband of 36 years. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Edna F. Laster; daughters, Rekitta and Lashanda Laster; son, Derrick Laster and his wife Kimberlie Bell-Laster; three grandchildren, Tashanda, Jamall and Jasmine; sister, Bernadette Laster. He leaves loving memories and inspiration as a gift to us all. Altmeyer Funeral Home, Southside Chapel, handled the arrangements.

I remember Mr. Phillip working with my dad in 1988. They were stationed together at a helicopter squadron HSL-40 located in N.A.S. Mayport. His children were like siblings to me and my siblings and we all had so much fun. Mr. Phil you are truly missed and my dad is up there with you now. Rest easy and please continue to watch over us.
