Kevin("Sir"), Avis, Junnie, Keith, Martin, and Michael,
We always search for just the right words to say to let those "going through" know how much we care. But no matter how hard we try, our words never match what we feel inside and they never bring the complete comfort that is needed. True comfort comes from the peace that only God can give.Please know that no matter what was going on in her life, your mom knew and loved the Lord, and she displayed the Love of Jesus everytime she came in contact with ANYONE. She never hesitated to comfort and encourage somebody else,when she probably needed it hereself. She was always determined to give something to somebody. To some those givings may have seemed small, but to God those givings were greater than we will ever know. I pray that you all will find comfort in knowing, Ms. Brown is fine. Like a ship leaving the shore, those on this side of the shore are sad saying "there she goes" but those on the other side of the shore are rejoycing and saying "here she comes", She's singing now in that heavenly choir, taking care of EVERYBODY in heaven, and still praying for each one of you.It wasn't by accident that you were born into the family that you were born into. Allow God to move through you. Put God first, love eachother, take care of eachother, and like your mom will continue to live through you.
Remeber you are always loved and cared about by your "other family" in Petersburg,
Always Loving You All,

To the Brown Family,

Words can never explain the pain that one feels when a loved one has been called home. We can only pray that you find peace knowing that she is with our Lord and Saviour and with her husband, parents and sibilings who left before her. I know that the angels are rejoicing as they welcome their new angel into their kingdom because she has definiltely earned her wings. Although we are not able to be with you in person during your time of sorrow, we are with you in spirit. Aunt Rita was a special person and a wonderful aunt who had such a wonderful sense of humor and told it like it was. No one can give a hug like she did! Aunt Rita, you are going to be missed by us all. We love you!

Your nieces, Teresa, Amy and Ana; your great nieces and nephews, Richie, Ruben, Hasna (Amaris) and Abdul, and great-great niece, baby Riana Raquel

To My Friend, Kevin:
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. I wish that I could be there to assist you all with anything that you may need, but as we have shared, I just experienced the lost of my "mother." I am unable to be there, but please know that I am thinking of you all often. From all that has been shared about your mother, I know that she was a beautiful person -- besides I see the beauty in YOU. Acorns don't fall far from the tree -- she has beared good fruit. May the Lord continue to bless you and comfort you.

My Sister and Brothers,
We truly were blessed to have had wonderful parents! Mom and Dad are together at rest and we should rejoice and live our lives as Christian as they both did. We missed Dad and we will miss Mom, However their legacy will continue amongst us, our sister Avis “in charge” like daddy, Junie “peacemaker” like Momma, Michael “ mild mannered “ like Momma , Keith “ full of laughs, hustler never in a hurry or serious “ like daddy , Martin “ knows everything “ like daddy & Kevin “ caring , high goals, huge heart” like mother . We will continue our parent’s legacy in society with love & support for each other and our family.

To Avis and the family: It was my pleasure to have worked with Mrs. Brown in the Cancer Support Ministry of Tabernacle Church. Take consolation in knowing that Mrs. Brown knew Jesus and trusted Him throughout her journey. I will miss her, but I am honored to have known her.

No One Can Know

No one can know just what you've lost;
No one can understand the cost;
But when you feel your energy drain,
Please count on us to help ease your pain.

Let us help you cope with grief;
We hope with time you'll feel relief.
We can't replace the one who's gone,
But let our concern help you carry on.
