I don't know if anyone will see this, but my heart is so broken. I have been looking for gail for so many years. We were best of friends in lst, 2nd and 3rd grade. Inseparable. I lived next to dime store on green street. I am Susan Charlton (susie) to Gail. I found her obit and it has just stunned me. Cathy and Joanne, I dont know if u remember me, but your mom and dad were mine so much. Please if someone gets this drop me an email([email protected]) I would love to hear anything about Gail. From what I am reading she was a wonderful person, as I knew she would be...God Bless all and I wish I had found her sooner. Sue

I was very sad to hear of Gail's passing. Like so many others, I too, met her at Norview. She was a beautiful girl inside and out, and always a shining star to all of us who knew her. May she rest in peace.

I'm sorry I cannot be there to pay my respects to Gail and mourn her loss with my family. Gail was a lovable and trusting person who welcomed me into her family about 25 years ago now. Although we never had the chance to spend much time together, it was always a fun time when she and our families were all together. I know that I speak for her sisters when I say all the kids loved Aunt Gail. I regret our grandchildren will not will not be able to know her as we have. She is at peace now and one day we will be with her again. The following poem expresses my thoughts:
She was a rare spirit, a person apart
And today we mourn the sad leaving
Of my sister-in-law to the family tree
But though we are mourning and grieving
We've still got such memories of happy days
That we all spent together,
The family gatherings, the outings too
And we're wondering today whether
We can go on without her there.
We feel so lonely and blue
As we remember all that she meant
And all that she tried to do.
Yet though she's gone she left memories
And she'll be with us still in our yet-to-be's.

A beautiful angel is all that is here
Saying O'Lord please leave me here
Not ready to leave but has to go
Wants to go back but God says no
Sisters, neices, nephews and friends, A meaningful life that suddenly ends
An angel is what she was meant to be
Now think of all that she can see
Watching over her family night and day
Saying I love you in her own special way
In the night we sleep and in the day we cry
While she watches us all from her star in the sky!
Gail, We have known you for over 20 years. We have spent many holidays & celebrated many special occastions together at Jo Anne and Edward's house. You always had a smile and something wonderful to say to all of us especially Corey & Sarah. You always wanted to catch up with what was going on in their lives. God gave us the priviledge of knowing you and a pleasure it has been. Thank you for being the wonderful person that you were. You were an angel on earth and now you truly are one.
With much Love,
Mark, Tammy, Corey & Sarah Dixon

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I thought of you with love today but that is nothing new,
I thought about you yesterday and days before that too,
I think of you in silence I often speak your name,
All I have are memories and your picture in a frame,
Your memory is my keepsake with which I’ll never part,
God has you in His keeping I have you in my heart.
Kathy, Joanne, and Kids, You are in our hearts and prayers. Gail had such a wonderful pure heart. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. --Matthew 5:8

Words cannot express the sadness I feel as a result of this tragedy. I worked with Gail for many years at the Naval Air Rework Facility, but we were also friends who kept in touch after our work days were behind us. She was with me the day I learned of the death of my beloved grandmother. She was there for me then. I wish I could have been there for her. She was a sweet, caring, wonderful person. I pray she is finally at peace.
