Rebecca Radcliffe Obituary

Rebecca Radcliffe MAIDEN - Rebecca Iva Lee Armstrong Radcliffe, 88, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Catawba Valley Medical Center in Hickory. Born April 11, 1922 in Gaston County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence O. Armstrong and the late Nettie Ensley Armstrong. Mrs. Radcliffe was a member of Colonial Heights Church of Christ in Norfolk and Cornerstone Church in Maiden, N.C. She was a member of Norview Lion's Club in Virginia. In addition to her parents, her husband, Bennie Gray Radcliffe; a son, Bennie Graham Radcliffe; and brother, Ed Armstrong, preceded her in death. Survivors include sister-in-law, Leila Armstrong of Maiden; nephews, Ed Armstrong of Clemmons and Jerry M. Coleman of Richmond, Va.; nieces, Brenda Smith of Clemmons, Evelyn C. Adkisson of Norfolk, Linda Browning of Florida and Susie Money of Nevada. The funeral will be held today, April 18, at 3 p.m. at Burke Mortuary Chapel in Maiden with the Rev. Jonathan Foster officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 20, at 2 p.m. in Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach.
