Dorothy Trubacek Obituary

Dorothy B. Trubacek VIRGINIA BEACH - Dorothy Mae Bronsman Trubacek, 90, of the 2600 block of Majesty Lane, passed away Aug. 23, 2010 in a local hospital. A native of St. Louis, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Arthur L. and Grace M. Bronsman and the widow of John Trubacek Jr. Dorothy Mae enjoyed teaching ballet, history and literature at the high school levels. She served as scout leader, cub scouts, brownies, and annually as room mother for her two children, Jon and Sheila Ann. She taught ballet at V.P.I. and in France. She enjoyed participation in the Orleans, France officer wives club, serving as entertainment chair person. She was a member of various art league and artist memberships. She was named "A pretty girl is like a melody" at a special dance at Stuttgart, Germany. At age 16, she was accepted to dance in the St. Louis, Mo., Municipal Opera in Forest Park. An avid artist, she also designed "one-of-a-kind" authentic stone necklaces. She was the author of a historical novel of the 12th century, The Silk Merchants, that is ready for publication. She is survived by her daughter, Sheila Ann Trubacek of Paris, France; her son, Richard Jon Trubacek of Bonne Terre, Mo.; grandsons, Matthew Brett Baillie, his wife Genny and their children, Grace Ann Baillie, Brian Patrick Baillie and Shaun Baillie, and Richard James Trubacek; granddaughters, Angela Hausler and her children, Haley Sue Hausler and Brian Hausler, and Deborah Baillie Templeton; great-granddaughters, Lauren Baillie Templeton and Kristen Baillie Templeton; generous and faithful friends providing special projects and love. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 3, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, with the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood officiating. Interment will follow in Princess Anne Memorial Park. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.

Grand Mother has left this world to be with the love of her life. Together they were without question the perfect example of LOVE. (Grand Daddy always made her smile.)
A huge part of Grand Mother will always be in my heart and in my soul till the day I die.
