To the Grecko family,
Andy was passionate about his umpiring. I loved to hear his stories. Andy was also a passionate tool/model maker in IBM. That is where I knew him best as a maintenance man. I was starting out while Andy had lots of experience behind him. Andy never hesitated to help me along the way. He taught me how to use the machines to make a repair to a part. I am indebted to him in many ways for my success. God Bless each of you. Thank You Andy!

I remember Andy Grecko and all the wonderful men on St.James Choir back in the day....1960's....What a great fellowship with these men and their families, and I still regard that time as precious in my entire life. As we lose these cherished parents, may we double our efforts to follow their great example.

Andy was such a great spokesman for the game of baseball. He told me he never missed one in his heart. God must have needed a umpire in heaven, and he will make the call.

I will always remember Andy and my Dad (Frank Palermo) umpiring together. Andy would always call and schedule my Dad's games and he would always joke with me on the phone. Dad so respected Andy and they become friends.

Please accept my deepest sympathy in the passing of Andy. It was 1966 and I was at the plate in the Johnson City LL. 2 strikes and the pitch hit the catchers mitt. "Strike 3" yelled the ump. I said "I thought the pitch was low". Andy took off his mask and said..."son it's my opinion that counts, not yours" God rest his soul.

I remember Mr. Grecko and the great St James choir. I am sure he is up in heaven with so many who went before him and they are singing their hearts out for almighty God under the direction of John O'shea
