Dan was born Feb. 22, 1941, in Lansing, to the late Hirm and Hila Bross. He married Susan Parks on June 3, 1967, at the Central Methodist Church in Lansing.
Dan worked at Meijer for 26 ½ years in the loss prevention unit. Nature, gardening, and animals were things Dan enjoyed being around. Dan was also a Mason.
Surviving Dan is his wife of 41 years, Susan; children, Kisandra Sue and Terry Daniel Bross; sister-in-law, Judy Millar; and many cherished family cats.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. this evening, Aug. 19, 2008, at the Masonic Lodge in Traverse City.

Our family was saddened to learn of Dan's death. We knew him back in St. Johns where he and we grew up.
We are pleased to see that he and his family had a good life in Traverse City.

Dan and I swapped stories & lies on a daily basis at Meijer for several years as co-workers in Loss
Prevention. A nice man,a good man, a friend. My condolences.

dad was one of the best people i know he cared so much for others he was a firefighter and loved animals he would give his shirt off his back for anyone he once handed 5 dollors to a lady he did not even know i will miss him
