Tim attended St. Francis Catholic High School and graduated from Traverse City Senior High School. After graduating from Wayne State University with a B.A. in Psychology and a B.A. in Business Administration, Tim spent several years working as a Systems Analyst for the automobile industry in Detroit, before opening his own consulting firm, Traverse Technology.
In 2001, Tim and his wife Jane moved to Beaver Island, where Tim enjoyed hunting (both game and morels), fishing, geology, photography, gardening and swimming in Lake Michigan.
Tim doted on his indoor pets, Cozette, Mikado and Cali-cat, and his outdoor deer herd.
Tim was light-hearted, friendly, fun, and had a contagious laugh. He truly enjoyed every day of life. He will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Sept. 2, at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City, where family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Memorials may be directed to Jane Dwyer to be used for charitable causes in Tim's name.
The family is being served by Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home; www.reynolds-jonkhoff.com

To Jane and all of Tim's family members, No one could possibly know the hurt you all feel at this time. I knew Tim pretty much from the time he arrived on Beaver Island. We had some pretty "interesting" discussions, sometimes I even won! He was intense yet understanding and always on top of the subject. He tried to get me to aid in the formation of an AEH organization on the island and be its first chairman, which I declined, I told him, you do it, he declined, he said, its your home first and I said no its ours! He was always good for a strong political comment and will be missed! Please call on us if we can help!

To Tim's Family, I have not seen Tim for many many years, but I always remember him as having a bounce in his shoes, always, always happy go lucky....not much seemed to bother him. Glad to have known him, sad for his early passing.

Bless the Dwyer family. Tim will be remembered and his love will live on in his family. I went to school with Tim starting from 8th grade. I did not know him well but I'm finding out that his life was lived to the fullest. May his family find peace in this hard time.

To Tim's family,
I am sad to learn that Tim has passed away. Although the last time I saw him was in high school, I remember him as being quiet & shy, but friendly. It's so sad that he was taken away from you at such a young age. We can all learn to not take life for granted, it's too short. God Bless.

To Jane,Mary,Joe,Kathi, and the entire Dwyer clan. I am so saddened by this and can't even begin to wonder why. But we all know that when it is our time to leave and be with God then none of our prayers will keep him here on Earth. But know that my prayers are with each and everyone of you.
