Carlton Richmond Obituary

CHARLEVOIX — Carlton M. Richmond, 94, of Charlevoix, formerly of Newberry and Kalkaska, died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008.

Carlton retired to Newberry in 1978 after working for the Leonard Oil Company in Traverse City.

He was a member of Commerce Lodge #121 F&AM, and a Life Member of the Michigan Snowmobile Association.

Carlton is survived by his children, Gail (Ken) Scott of Lake Gogebic, Carlton W. (Jacqueline) Richmond of Lake Forest, Calif., and Leanna (Tom) Hart of Charlevoix; grandchildren, Shaun, Scott and Paige; and four great-grandchildren.

Carlton's wife, Glenda, preceded him in death, as did his brothers, Donald and Gilbert.

At Carlton's request, no services will be held.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Michigan Snowmobile Education and Advancement Fund (MSEAF), 4336 Plainfield, NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525.

Winchester Funeral Home in Charlevoix is handling the arrangements; (231) 547-2881.
