Dear Teresa

I am so sorry to read of Hilda's passing. You see, I, too, met Hilda shortly after my mastectomy. She sold me my new hair and my first new appendage. But more than that she became my friend, my new sister. Several years after my cancer, my husband and I retired to Florida, where we still live and every year when we come back to Virginia to visit family, I make it a point to go to the shop to see Hilda. That is how I came to find the news of her passing. You see, I will be back in Virginia soon and I was looking up Hilda's shop to make sure she was still in the same place. I will surely miss her. I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers will be with you and your family. May God bless you and keep you.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I didn't know until today that your mother had passed. She was so kind to me when I lost my hair to chemo. She helped me pick out a wig and even shaved my head when the time came. She was always so kind and cheerful and I will miss her. This is a loss to the Roanoke community and to future cancer patients. May God bless you and your family!

Mrs. Patterson was a wonderful person. She helped me find the right wig before I started Chemo. and later the right prosthesis. She always managed to make me laugh everytime I visited her. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. She will be missed. Take care and may God bless you.

Hilda was such a very special person to me and my family when we first visited her in 2001 for my first wig. I will always have a very special place in my heart for her, she was such a blessing to me and many others that I referred to here through my volunteer work for Reach to Recovery with American Cancer Society. My deepest sympathy to the family, you are in my prayers.
Sincerely,
