Raymond Phoenix Obituary

Raymond Lee Phoenix, 73, of Salem, Va., passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2009. He worked at Salem Tools. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lilly Hines Phoenix; and a brother, Ray Phoenix. Surviving are a son, Jeffrey Phoenix, of Roanoke; granddaughter, Stevie Phoenix, of Roanoke; sisters, Dot Weeks, of Salem, and Deane Pilling, of Illinois; and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2009, at Cedar Lawn Burial Park with the Rev. Brian Gordon officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Arrangements are being handled by Lotz Funeral Home, Salem, Va.
