Edward Johnson Obituary

Edward Johnson, 69, of Wytheville, Va., passed away Saturday, July 11, 2009. He was a retired U.S. Air Force Master Sergeant with 21 years of service. He was a member of the West End United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by his father, David Johnson and a brother, Robert Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Mary Fraser Johnson, of Wytheville; daughters, Susan McQuaide, of Milford, N.H., Cynthia Johnson and fiance, Mark Perry, of Pepperell, Mass., Wendy Johnson and life partner, Miaranda Sherman, of Silver Spring, Md.; mother, Genevieve Dubinski Johnson, of Westford, Mas.; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Robert Tewell, of Slidell, La.; grandchildren and spouse, Shannon and Jonny Cratty, of Pendleton, Ore., Steven Hamel, of Pepperell, Mass., Reuben Perry, of Pepperell, Mass., David McQuaide, of Milford, N.H., Mary McQuaide, of Milford, N.H. Funeral service will be Wednesday, 11 a.m., in the West End United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Janet Richardson and the Rev Ann Blair with the interment in the West End Cemetery. Family will receive friends at Grubb Funeral Home, Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to American Lung Association, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave., NW Suite 800, Washington, D.C. 20004. Grubb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
