Donna,

You and Richard always made my family feel like they were your family when we would visit you two at the lake. I know you and your family are going through a rough time, as Richard was bigger than life sometimes. May God keep you safe in his arms as you mourn his loss.

I went to school with Richard. We were both in band class. Although I haven't seen Richard since High School, I remember what a nice guy he was. Richard was the first guy my parents let me go out with. They allowed Richard to take me to a dance at school. My father met Richard outside in the yard with a pistol strapped on his waist. Needless to say, that was the one and only date with Richard. I am sure my dad scared him to death. I want to give my condolences to his wife, daughters, parents, brothers and the entire Light family. May God bless you and comfort you in the days and months ahead.

It has been years since we have seen Richard, but remember him fondly from working with him at Piedmont Airlines.
He was funny and will bring a smile to our faces as we remember him.

Richard, you will always be live in our memories
We’re sure Lake Norman will always miss your laughter and the Sun will always miss your tanned nose and forehead, we will always remember how you greeted everyone with a smile and how you loved company in your house at the lake.
selling cars at our place will never be the same without your conveniently help providing car insurance. We pray you are in a better place now cruising in the nicest boat and riding the fastest Jet-ski, in a place where there is no cops to issue you a citation regardless how fast you’re going.
Our deepest condolences to the Light family and our prayers are with you in this time of sorrow.

This deeply saddens me. May you rest in peace, my childhood friend. Build that beautiful lakefront home in the sky and we will all meet you there someday.
