Mike and Lisa,
It has been many years since I was in the fourth grade (1963-1964), but your Mother made that one of my best years in school. She was the most caring teacher that I had and I still appreciate her today for the foundation she gave me in spelling and using the dictionary. She was a great teacher and I still remember sitting in Beth Horn Methodist listening to her play for Sunday Services. She was always smiling and always had a kind word. My thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Davis Family. Ms. Davis was always one of my favorite teachers. She started my love of history and was a major reason why I decided to become a teacher. She will be missed.

Mrs. Davis was one of the best, most dedicated teachers I ever had. I remember her class so well. My spelling and reading skills are a direct result of her efforts. I know she was suffering in her later years.
Go forth, Iris, to the other side, and may you find the peace of eternity.

Dear Mike and Lisa,
When I think of your mother I have such fond memories of her and of what a wonderful person she was. She was so sweet and kind to everyone she meant. I can still remember the last time we saw you all at Country Cookin in Staunton. Everytime I go by your grandparent's house I can still see Tippy in the yard along with your granddad Lynn, your grandmother and great grandmother in the kitchen cooking in the old wood stove, us playing in the yard and your mom trying to get us in the car to go somewhere like Lakeside. Mom and I talk fondly of you often and she still talks about Michael and her picking berries behind our house. Your mother will be really missed. She was a great mom, wonderful wife and daughter, loving and caring friend and an exceptional educator who really cared for her students. I can remember her teaching me in 4th grade like it was yesterday and her making me laugh. I can remember her coaching us in little league cheerleading and all the special things she did. My family has very fond memories of you all. Our deepest sympathies are with you both and your families. I take comfort in knowing you all have each other to lean on in this time of sorrow. I know your parents were very proud of you both and are watching over you now. May God be with you all.

Dear Mike & Lisa,
I have such fond memories of your mom, especially when she'd cart us around for cheerleading, camps, shopping, etc. She was such a beautiful, generous lady. She loved you two dearly.....I will keep you & your families in my prayers.
