Allen Bishop Obituary

Allen Willis Bishop, 78, of Christiansburg, Va., passed away Thursday, November 19, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents, John B. Bishop and Mary K. Willis; his wife, Mary Bishop; brothers and sisters, Esma Basham, Elsie Gould, John Bishop, David Bishop and Carl Bishop. He is survived by his stepsons, Donald Harvey and wife, Judy, of Chicago, Ill., and Ronald Harvey, of San Diego, Calif.; special nieces, nephews and friends; special grandchildren; his beloved dogs, Sassy and Angel. He was an active member of the Blue Ridge Model A Club and also an active member of The New River Valley Amateur Radio Club. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 22, 2009, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Horne Funeral Home, with a funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Hylton officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery. The Bishop family is being served by Horne Funeral Service. IM SO SORRY for your loss. TO ALL THE FAMILY of Mr Bishop.He was so kind and good hearted .My son Greg was his computer helper .He would call and talk to Greg about his computer . We will miss him .We will be praying for all of you ,family ,friends,God will help you .
