Lloyd Farson Obituary

Lloyd L. Farson, 73, of Westborough, died on July 23, 2008 in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center. He was the husband of Christine M. (Smith) Farson.

Born in Nemaha, Nebraska, he was the son of the late Louis and Geneveive (Prall) Farson. He was educated in Westborough and was a 1953 graduate of Westborough High School.

Mr. Farson was employed as a machinist for Micro Corp. in Westborough, retiring in 1997. He also was an avid photographer.

When Lloyd read the Bible at Isaiah 11:6-9 that 'a mere little boy would lead a wolf, leopard, and lion in a Paradise earth', it captured his childhood dreams of owning a pet panther. Lloyd was ordained as a minister of Jehovah's Witnesses at age 19. He spent 50 years helping the communities of Westborough, Marlborough, Milford, and Northbridge to know what the Bible really teaches.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Debra Kemp and her husband, Henry, of Oxford and one grandson, Russell Kemp.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 9, at 2:00 P.M. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 419 Main St., Northborough. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jehovah's Witnesses.

Arrangements by Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main Street.

Dear Debbie and Henry,

We were very sorry to hear of the passing of Lloyd. I can remember him fondly back in the old days of Northbridge where we came in the truth. He was always a gentle, humble man and I enjoyed him a lot. He was so easy to talk to. We remember the times we spent visiting for meals and get togethers and we look forward to getting together again in the new system which Lloyd had deep faith he would see. We pray that we are all there to see him with you. Please accept our deepest sympathy.

The Farson family has always held a special place in my heart, as I spent a part of my life working shoulder to shoulder in the ministry and in the Milford congregation with them. I particularly was very fond of Lloyd as I came to respect him dearly as a spiritual man. What a great support and encouragement he was to me personally. There is no doubt that this brother held a tremendous value to many that came to know him. I can truly say that my mother, Nancy, and my grandmother, Bessie, both thought the world of Lloyd and his sweet family. He was one of the kindness men I have ever known. I have often thought of his gentle manner and had hoped to see him at some point when possible. That day will have to be future now, but there's no doubt he'll be waiting to see many of us with that infectious laugh and welcoming smile. I pray his deeply devoted wife, Chris, and his selfless supportive daughter Debbie can endure this tragic although temporary loss. I also will grieve the loss of a good, hard-working, selfless human. Please be assured that the family will be in my prayers and thoughts!

Debbie, Henry & Russell,

Isn't it comforting to know that Jehovah is a loving God and that your father's (grandfather's) dream will soon come true. We all look forward to the time when it will be a reality and we will see him again. May your faith strengthen and comfort you during this difficult time.
Much love, Pam & Jack O'Bryant
