Norma Sullivan Obituary

Norma A. (Andrews) Sullivan, 80, of Worcester, passed away peacefully, Thursday, June 18th, 2009 in her home surrounded by family.

Norma was predeceased by her husband, Joseph L. Sullivan. She is survived by her devoted son, Mark Needham of Worcester; two adored granddaughters: Laura and Paige Needham; a brother, Charles K. Andrews, Jr. of Shrewsbury; nieces, nephews and friends. Norma was born in Worcester, September 28, 1928, the daughter of the late Charles K. Andrews, Sr. and Vera (Hultman) Andrews and has lived here all her life.

Norma worked over 33 years as an administrator for the New England Power Company, before retiring in 1993.

Norma was a member of Lakeview Congregational church. She was a lifelong figure skater and member of the figure skating club of Worcester. She instructed individuals in figure skating well into her 60's. Norma also enjoyed golf and travel.

Funeral services for Norma will be held Monday, June 22nd at 11:00 a.m. in Lakeview Congregational church, 115 Coburn Ave. Burial will follow next to her husband in Rural Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Sunday, June 21st from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lake View Congregational church, 115 Coburn Ave., Worcester 01604.
