Althia Hymes Obituary

HYMES, ALTHIA A lifelong resident of Plaquemine, she died Saturday, April 10, 2004, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Baton Rouge. She was 58. Visiting at Wesley Funeral Home, 23525 Livingston St., Plaquemine, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Friday. Religious service at Plymouth Rock Baptist Church, Plaquemine, at 8 p.m. Friday, conducted by the Rev. Lee T. Wesley. Dismissal at 11 a.m. Saturday. Interment in Homestead Cemetery. Survived by a daughter, Theda Spradley; a son, Paul Hymes; two sisters, Myrtle Mosaby and Lelia Ennis; two brothers, Samuel Hymes Sr. and Donald Hymes; five grandchildren, Brandon, Barry, Brittany, Brianca and Jamal; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

"words can't explain the way i feel right now". i'm just learning of althea's death. my condolences to the whole family and my prayers also go to my cousin Paul also.

Theda, You have my deepest sympathy. I know it's hard as I just set on that front bench in December and I miss my mother so much. Remember that God can do all things, he can wipe the tears from your eyes because earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.
