Charles Cottrell Obituary

COTTRELL Charles W, 88, husband of Elsie Cottrell died Dec 23, 2006 . He was a Long John Silvers Franchisee and formerly owned Cottrell Bakery. Born in Scott County, son of Willis Cottrell and Cora Lee Cottrell. He was a member of Tates Creek Christian Church and a graduate of the University of KY. and a Lifetime Member of University of KY. Alumni. During WWII he served in the U.S. Army. Surviving family includes daughter, Janie (Don Combs) Cottrell and a son, Sammy (Jody) Cottrell; brother, Earl (Lonelle) Cottrell; grandchildren, Christa (Babak), Lisa (Phil), April (Mike Ball), and Jesse (Steven) ; great grandchildren, Peyton, Julia and Ryan. He was preceded in death by his first wife Alebia Klaren Cottrell. Service 1pm Thurs, Lexington Cemetery. Visitation W. R. Milward-Broadway Wed, 7-9pm. Dear Mrs. Cottrell,

I am sorry to hear of the passing fo Mr. Cottrell. He lived a long happy life, loved his family, and loved UK. I hope that he was able to attend some of the UK football games this year as they had a banner year. Say hello to Sammy, hope things are going well with LJS.
