Alicia Ramos Comaduran, 94, was called home to our Lord in Heaven on December 19, 2024; she passed away peacefully in the presence of her family. Alicia was born on August 7, 1930. She graduated from El Paso High School and later on in her life followed her dream of studying Translation Studies at the University of Texas at El Paso. Alicia is retired from the University of Texas at El Paso.
Alicia is preceded in death by her Husband, Joseph Angel Comaduran, Son, Christopher Andrew Comaduran, Grandson, Bryan Christopher Comaduran, and Sister, Maria Elena. Alicia is survived by her sons; Richard Joseph Comaduran, Mike Comaduran, Robert Edward Comaduran (Brandee Comaduran), and Daughter, Sylvia Alicia Coulehan (Tom Coulehan); Grandchildren, Robert Anthony Comaduran, Erin Leigh Coulehan (Blaine McNutt), Ryan Elizabeth Coulehan (Tony Montenegro), Michelle Comaduran-Derstein (Thomas Derstein), Kevin Comaduran, Matthew Comaduran, and Kristin Comaduran; Great Grandchildren, Ariana Comaduran, Sophia Comaduran, Chase Comaduran, Briella Comaduran, Theo Derstein, and Ellie Derstein; Sisters, Lydia West, Norma Castaneda, Bertha Carreon, Kika Del Toro, and Brother, Salvador Hernandez.
Alicia was a devoted Catholic, volunteering numerous hours to Saint Anthony’s Seminary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and prior to closing, the Jesuits of El Paso. Alicia’s children agree, their faith in God has given them strength throughout their lives to become the individuals they are today and will continue to give them strength during this time.
Funeral services for Alicia will be held on Monday December 30, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to meet at Sunset Funeral Home – Northeast at 8:30 a.m. Interment to follow at 9:00 a.m. at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
