Angela Cox, 91
Angela "Angie" Elizabeth, passed away on August 12, 2023. She was born to Howard and Eudora Pinder in 1932. Angie had one brother, Howard Jr., and three sisters Betty, Shirley, and Patricia. After graduating from Miami Jackson High School, she went on to study at Florida State University. Angie was a gifted student and accomplished pianist.
Angie will be remembered most as a loving wife to her high school sweetheart, Louis "Lou" T. Cox, Jr. Lou was the love of her life, as she was his. They were married 70 years and knew each other as children. She was the adored mother to William (Debbie) Cox, Susan (Keith) Rucks, and Pamela (Dan) Broome, irreplaceable grandmother to Angela, Chase, Elizabeth, Danielle, Keith Dane, and Eric. Angie delighted in having five great-grandchildren, Alek, Tucker, Jordan, Jonah, and Logan. She traveled the world as a military wife and upon Lou's retirement became an active member, once again, in our community of Okeechobee. Angie supported her husband, Lou, in a cow/calf operation known as LC Double Bar Ranch. Together, they successfully ranched for several years and enjoyed building a prosperous real estate business as brokers, owning Cox Realty Group, Inc., a Better Homes and Gardens franchise.
Angie made life so special to each of us in so many memorable ways. We will grieve, reminisce, and reflect as we recall our loved one. We will cherish many heartfelt memories of times past in our hearts forever. Always so kind, so loving, and so very generous, she will be truly missed.
Private services were held.
All arrangements were entrusted to the direction and care of the Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home, 400 North Parrott Avenue, Okeechobee, Florida, 34972.
