Barbara Jane (Courier) Leny, 86, of Menomonee Falls, WI, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at Vista Pointe Assisted Living.
Barbara was born on December 5, 1938 in Escanaba, MI, the daughter of William and Ruth (Provo) Courier. She graduated from Escanaba High School, class of 1957, and married John Frederick Leny on September 7, 1958 in Escanaba. She resided in Escanaba until 1983, when they moved to Franklin, WI, and subsequently to Myrtle Beach, SC in 1989, and Menomonee Falls, WI in 2020.
Barbara had a love of travel, music, dancing, shopping, cooking, ice skating and was a devoted fan of the Green Bay Packers.
Barbara is survived by her children, Tina Hess of Aurora, IL, Todd Leny of Germantown, WI, Scott (Christine) Leny of Oconomowoc, WI, Natalie (David Howard) Kinney of Charlotte, NC, and Jennifer (Jose Villegas) Leny of Madison, WI; grandchildren, Kara, Joe, Eric, Amanda, Tara, Corey, Jennifer, Roman, Kevin, and Stefany; over 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Ross of Waukesha, WI; along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, John; she was preceded in death by two sons, Michael Leny and Mark Leny; and brother, Wayne Courier.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, June 3rd at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church with her nephew, Rev. Rick Courier officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Rest Cemetery. A gathering will follow the burial.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.
