Beatrice Swafford Obituary
Beatrice Locke Swafford, age 88, departed this life on April 17 at a local hospital. She was born in Meigs County, Tn. to the late James Arthur Locke and Conas Bryant
She is preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Shirley (Ed) Robinson; brothers, Billy (Carol) Peete, Lavern (Debra) Bryant, James Edward Locke; her son-n-law, Tony Smith Sr.; sister-n-law, Mattie Swafford; and her nephew, Tony Bryant.
Beatrice graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Chattanooga, Tn. and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where she attended faithfully until her health begin to fell. She loved to laugh and her smile would illuminate a room. Beatrice was also a member of the Eastern Stars.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 59 years, Charles A. Swafford III; her daughter, Sherry Smith of Cleveland, Tn; her sons, Arthur Lee Bryant of Knoxville, Tn., Timothy Ray Bryant of McMinnville, Tn., Charles "Chuck" (Teabra) Swafford IV of Cleveland, Tn; daughter-n-law, Beatrice Bryant of Murfreesboro, Tn. ; sister, Clara Swafford of Cleveland, Tn.;
grand children, Patrick Thomas, Travis Warren, Kerry Rogers, Rena Rogers, Demetrius Bryant, Tachika Johnson, Lakeya Bryant, Tony (Melisa) Smith Jr., Quanza Smith, Courtney A. Swafford, Charles A. Swafford V;
a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren;
sisters-n-law, Emma Cansler, Irma Swafford, Rev. Martha (Don) Tibbs, Linnda Bowerman, Edith (Charles) Blair;
